Il quartiere dove si è sparato per vendetta, tra bande rivali,e si è ucciso veramente, non semplici risse da bar.Uscendo dalla metropolitana stazione "Marconi" oppure dalla adiacente stazione ferroviaria " Porta Nuova" ,tutto potrebbe sembrare normale, ma inoltrandoci nelle vie appaiono subito le incredibili contraddizioni del quartiere.Negozi che trattano articoli militari appaiati a market indiani o cinesi, con gli immancabili spacciatori seduti a terra che cercano clienti, come le prostitute arabe o dell'est europa appena a fianco.
Terreno di scontro da sempre: con le sedi dei movimenti estremisti e dei loro locali, a quelli religiosi ( con la Sinagoga Ebraica perennemente pattugliata dall'esercito ) fino alle rivolte degli abitanti con manifestazioni spontanee contro lo spaccio.Sotto le feste le associazioni di quartiere inventano montagne di iniziative per socializzare con gli stranieri presenti , ma l' integrazione resta sempre un utopia,e sarà sempre più un utopia che scopriremo nei prossimi viaggi nelle aree urbane fuori Piemonte.
